how does heat magazine feed our obsession with celebrity culture?
after thinking long and hard, i came to the conclusion that the whole body image size zero debate was a little bit unoriginal. however, i still wanted to focus on a similar topic that i was interested in. i mentioned to my teacher that i was interested in celebrity culture, and was given the idea to focus on how we are obsessed with celebrities as a nation.
in my essay/evaluation, i could discusss what makes a celebrity, why we become so obsessive and recent events within the past five years.
although its quite a while away, for my production, i would create a typical "gossip" column in a tabloid newspaper or womens magazine.
texts i would use would include many different copies of heat magazine (i would focus on the paticular productions that sold most copies.) the heat website, which includes lots more content not included in the magazine, and readers are enccouraged to visit it several times in each issue. magazine surveys, consumer opinions etc.
i'm so happy i have an idea :)

haha, no i estimate there will be approximatly 4 more layouts before i confirm my decision :)
